Music from the various 80s
Welcome along on a breathtaking journey through time, where host Rickard Söderberg takes us all the way from the 1580s to the future 2080s. With the Malmö Opera Chorus and Orchestra, opera soloists, musical theatre performers, and Cirkus Cirkör on stage, this will be a festive and spectacular experience..
The Opera’s Gala – Music from the various 80s will be an engaging experience filled with many beloved treasures. In addition, artists from Cirkus Cirkör will perform breathtaking circus acts to further enhance the show.
Classical favorites and musical hits
We revisit some of the best classical music from the 1580s to the 1980s, featuring pieces by composers such as Mozart, Handel, Wagner, and Puccini.
We will also offer a couple of musical hits from the 1980s, including songs from Chess and The Phantom of the Opera, as well as the occasional pop classic.
A visit to the 2080s offers a taste of what music might sound like 60 years from now.
Let yourself be swept away by atmospheric classics, well-known musical hits, and the music of the future in a concert that moves from finely tuned intimacy to grand, “raise-the-roof” magnificence!
