Malmö Opera is the opera house of Southern Sweden. It is situated in the centre of the Oresund Region, geographical and economic region comprising Southern Sweden and Eastern Denmark. Malmö Opera presents the whole range of music theatre with main emphasis on opera and musical. Distinguishing for Malmö Opera is opera of the highest international standards. We perform the great opera classics and musicals and contemporary musical drama as well as we endeavour to pursue freshly written Swedish operas and musicals. Gala Nights and orchestra and chamber concerts are also arranged and guest performances of contemporary dance and classical ballet are invited.

Compulsory works

Round: Mozart Concerto for violin in D-Major KV 218 OR A-Major KV 219, first and second movement with cadenza
Round. First movement including cadenza of one of the following violin concertos: Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius


Employment will commence on the 1st of August 2017 or as agreed.

Non EU citizens (with the exception of the Nordic countries) need a work and residence permit to work in Sweden. Malmö Opera cannot guarantee that you would obtain the permit should you be offered employment. It is the responsibility of the applicant to apply for the necessary permits.

University level education (MFA), professional experience, and/or the equivalent, are required in order to apply.
