Malmö Opera is southern Sweden's own opera house. It is situated in the centre of the Öresund region, one of the fastest growing Nordic regions, where one can expect to find a solid, stimulating and high quality cultural life.
Malmö Opera is a melting pot for directors, vocalists, librettists, stage designers and conductors and gives contemporary musical drama an opportunity to grow. It is our intention to be a centre for the musical theatre of tomorrow, even to the extent of developing musical theatre of the highest quality aimed at children.
